Description
VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide) is a 28-amino-acid neuropeptide of the secretin/glucagon superfamily; "VIP10" is a non-standardized research designation that may refer to an N- or C-terminal fragment of the parent molecule, and its precise identity should be confirmed against supplier-issued certificates of analysis. In vitro and rodent-model research literature on parent VIP has characterized its interaction with the VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors and downstream cAMP/PKA signaling pathways (Harmar et al., Pharmacol. Rev., 1998). Rodent-model investigations have examined its association with neuroimmune signaling cascades and circadian-rhythm pathway modulation in suprachiasmatic nucleus tissue (Vaudry et al., Pharmacol. Rev., 2000). Findings in in vitro / animal studies do not necessarily translate to other systems.
Operator review needed — VIP10 designation is non-standardized in primary literature. Confirm with YPB whether the product is an N-terminal or C-terminal VIP fragment, and obtain supplier certificate of analysis for definitive sequence/mass data. Site editor should set custom field cas_number=internal:vip10 on this product to enable lookup.
VIP-10 is a fragment of Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP), a 28-amino acid neuropeptide.
