Description
Pinealon is a synthetic short-chain tripeptide developed within the Russian peptide bioregulator research program associated with the Khavinson group. In vitro and rodent-model research literature has characterized its interaction with neuronal cell cultures and reactive oxygen species pathway markers under oxidative stress conditions (Khavinson et al., Bull. Exp. Biol. Med., 2011). Murine model investigations have examined its association with caspase-3 expression patterns and chromatin-organization signaling pathways in cortical and hippocampal tissue (Arutjunyan et al., Bull. Exp. Biol. Med., 2012). Findings in in vitro / animal studies do not necessarily translate to other systems.
Pinealon is a short peptide bioregulator consisting of three amino acids (Glu-Asp-Arg).
