Description
FOXO4-DRI is a D-retro-inverso peptide derived from the FOXO4 transcription factor sequence that engages the FOXO4-p53 protein-protein interaction interface. In vitro and murine-model research literature has characterized its interaction with the FOXO4-p53 complex and downstream nuclear-exclusion / p53-mediated apoptotic signaling pathway in senescent cell populations (Baar et al., Cell, 2017). In vitro fibroblast and murine tissue investigations have examined its association with senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) signaling pathway markers and selective senescent-cell apoptotic cascade activation (Baar et al., Cell, 2017). Findings in in vitro / animal studies do not necessarily translate to other systems.
