Description
Thymalin is a polypeptide complex isolated from bovine thymus tissue, developed within the Russian peptide bioregulator research tradition. In vitro and rodent-model research literature has characterized its interaction with thymocyte differentiation pathways and T-cell maturation signaling cascades (Khavinson, Neuroendocrinol. Lett., 2002). Rodent-model investigations have examined its association with cytokine-network signaling patterns and immune-axis modulation in aged tissue preparations (Anisimov & Khavinson, Biogerontology, 2010). Findings in in vitro / animal studies do not necessarily translate to other systems.
